Serious escalation of state-terrorism has been reported in the last few days following the debacle of Bahrain’s dictator at the Ascot race course in London on Saturday 11th May . Many people have been arrested; most of them subjected to severe torture on the spots where they were detained.

Disturbing news from Dry Dock prison have confirmed that Human Rights Defender, Naji Fateel, has been subjected to horrific torture. Mr Fateel was arrested on 2nd May during a dawn raid on his house.

The decision by Bahrain’s ruling family to ban the Special Rapporteur on Torture from visiting Bahrain has shocked the human rights world to the core. Almost all human rights bodies have condemned the decision and concluded that the Alkhalifa rulers have blood on their hands which they want to hide from the rest of the world.

The long-awaited visit to Bahrain by the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture has been cancelled by the Alkhalifa regime. It had been postponed twice before and now it looks that it will not take place after all.

The discredited and most controversial F1 race has become lethal to the people of Bahrain. Even before it begins, the regime has committed crimes of murder to pave the racing road of this bloody race.

The Alkhalifa regime has carried out a pre-emptive crackdown on citizens to prevent any disruption to the Formula 1 race scheduled to begin on 19th April. Tens of young Bahrainis have been summarily rounded up, tortured and dumped in torture dungeons.

As the Bahraini people continue their revolt against staging the Formula 1 race under the patronage of the Alkhalifa, the regime has intensified its crackdown against the pro-democracy activists, detaining and torturing them in revenge.

The second anniversary of the Saudi occupation of Bahrain claimed one Bahraini life only to compound the public anger against the unholy alliance between the Alkhalifa dictators and Al Saud occupiers.

As the Formula 1 teams became under intensive pressure not to take part in the forthcoming race in Bahrain, the health of two of the most prominent human rights activists has deteriorated sharply in the past two days.

The Saudi occupation of Bahrain on 14th March 2011 was marked yesterday by Bahraini people in their progressive, peaceful style; protests, strikes, sit-ins and calls for world bodies to take action against this illegal occupation.

The mutilated body of Martyr Mahmood Isa Al Jaziri, 20, from Daih Town, is still in the hands of his Alkhalifa killers, eight days after he died of his wounds. The martyr was shot at blank range on 14th February when he joined the peaceful protests marking the second anniversary of the Revolution.

An international campaign against the use of lethal gases and shotguns by the Alkhalifa regime against people has been launched. It started after an Irish University established that the gases used by police against Bahraini demonstrators were ten times the acceptable international level of concentration.

The third year of the Bahraini Revolution has been inaugurated with blood. As the people started the day yesterday to mark the 2nd anniversary of the 14th February Revolution the Alkhalifa killers struck with utmost cruelty.

As the preparations for the 2nd anniversary of the 14th February Revolution get underway, the field activities have warmed up extensively. At the same time supportive actions by the friends of Bahrain have risen sharply and are expected to become more widespread.

Bahraini revolutionaries have rejected the Alkhalifa call for what they consider “social dialogue” as a deceptive and meaningless move to stall the preparations for the major uprising expected on the second anniversary of the 14th February Revolution.

As the preparations for the second anniversary of Bahrain’s Revolution get underway, the regime has started a campaign of repression and deception to dampen people’s resolve.

On Sunday 13th January Hajj Habib Ibrahim, the elderly Bahraini citizen from Malikiya Town, was martyred after suffering the ill-effects of the chemical gases.

On Monday 7th January the ruling family confirmed the lengthy prison sentences passed by military courts in 2011 against the people’s leaders. Out of 21 prominent figures 13 were present at the court after they had appealed the earlier sentences imposed by Alkhalifa ruling family.

A successful campaign to welcome the new year was launched by the 14th February Alliance on Tuesday 1st January 2013. Families stayed outside their homes raising flags and shouting slogans in a peaceful way to tell the world of the predicaments of the Bahraini people.
