This report was prepared by the Bahraini Independent Fact-Finding Committee, also known locally in Bahrain as the Bassiouni Committee, which was established by the Ruler of Bahrain on June 29, 2011, and is charged with examining the incidents that occurred during the period of protests in February and March 2011 and the consequences of these events.
