An island without a homeland

By: Karim Al-Mahrous |

This book includes articles organized into two chapters: The first chapter dealt with the obsessive scenes of the challenges of building the modern state that Bahraini society sought to achieve in the face of tribalism and traditionalism that came to enter the homeland from outside its doors until this tribalism moved into the rooms of the homeland through a contractual document. Bahraini society was dragged into it with its eyes closed and with a mind that had been greatly affected by the years of oppression and terrorism. This paved the way for the 1973 Constitution, which was a goal that the majority of Bahraini society parties called for as a way to stop political, religious, economic and social violations. In the second chapter, I addressed the problem of political and cultural awareness and renewal, issues of religious and political authority, and issues of globalization and terrorism, which are fundamental issues in formulating and coordinating the Bahraini mind, and which are the very important factor in all the current transformations.
