The Bahraini trade union movement and its relationship to the national political movement

By: National Democratic Action Association

This book is a study prepared by the Labor Office of the National Democratic Action Society (Waad) in Bahrain, and published on the occasion of Labor Day in the year 2015. The study aims to shed light on the relationship of the Bahraini labor movement with the national political movement historically, especially after the discovery of oil and the gradual emergence of the working class. Or the political movement’s dependence on the labor and other popular masses in the unrest, rallies and sit-ins, and the signing of the petitions that the political movement was calling for and in which it was making purely political demands, in most of the political stations before the establishment of the unions and the General Federation of Bahrain Trade Unions.
